Murder Mystery Evening

The murder mystery evening took place on the 10th November.  Better attendance than last year and all who attended thoroughly enjoyed it.  Thanks to Jan Boothroyd for an enjoyable evening and to the cast.  Hopefully better attendance next year. Murder mystery night

Tap Dancing Lessons

Christine Hulley continues to offer tap dancing lessons, which many of the society members have enjoyed and found beneficial. They are held at the St Francis Scout Centre in Heaton (on the corner of Teesdale Gardens and Cragside).

Musical Showcase (Friday 25th and Monday 28th May 2012)

A very successful event where we performed songs from Kiss me Kate, Annie, High society, Fiddler on the Roof, My Fair Lady, Chicago, 7 brides for 7 brothers and the Sound of Music. Produced by Alan Tomkins and Ann Ranson we performed to packed houses on both the Friday and the Monday evening. We were pleased to have our NODA National President Fred Piggford at our Monday evening performance.

NODA medals

After a very successful “Musical Showcase” we had great pleasure in welcoming Jim Graham to our society whereby he presented medals to members on the night. Photographs were taken of each presentation and also a group photo of society members who had been awarded medals on this and previous occasions.
